What this site collects, what happens to it, and what never happens to it. Written for the way a one truck shop actually works.
Short version: the only information this site collects is what you type into the quote form, plus basic anonymous traffic numbers. It goes to Connor. It is not sold, rented, or handed to anyone trying to market to you.
When you fill out the quote form on this site, you give me:
The form also records which page you were on when you sent it, so I know whether you came in from the Fort Myers page, a service page, or the homepage. That is the only hidden field on the form.
If you call or email instead, I have your number or address because you contacted me. Nothing on this site captured it.
I use it to call you back, quote the job, schedule the work, and follow up afterward. That is the whole list.
If you become a customer, I keep your contact information and what was done to your equipment so I have a service history the next time you call. That history is what lets me tell you what was replaced and when.
I do not sell your information. I do not rent it, trade it, or pass it to lead brokers, marketing companies, or anyone else who wants to pitch you.
I do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote. If a newsletter ever exists, you will have to ask for it.
There are no advertising pixels on this site. No retargeting, no Meta pixel, nothing following you to other websites after you leave.
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It tells me things like how many people looked at the hydraulic repair page last month, roughly what part of the state they were in, and whether they came from Google or Facebook.
It does not tell me who you are. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on, and the site will still work fine.
The site sets no cookies of its own beyond that.
Some pieces of this site are served by other companies, which means your browser talks to them when a page loads and they can see your IP address:
None of these receive anything you type into the form.
That is the full list. Nobody else touches it.
When you call the shop line, standard phone records exist the way they do for any business line: your number, the time, and any voicemail you leave.
I do not record service calls.
Quote requests that never turn into work: I clear them out once they are clearly stale, generally within a year.
Customer records: I keep these as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable stretch afterward, because service history on a truck or a machine is worth having years later. If you want yours gone, ask and it is gone.
The site runs over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted on its way to Netlify. My email and phone accounts are password protected.
I am a mechanic, not a data center, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. What protects your information here most is that there is very little of it and it lives in very few places.
Email or call and you can ask me to show you what I have on file, correct it, or delete it. There is no process and no form. You ask, I do it.
You can block cookies in your browser. You can also just call instead of using the form, and then nothing on this website has anything about you at all.
This is a commercial truck and heavy equipment repair business. The site is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
P&C works in Southwest Florida and the site is hosted in the United States. If you are visiting from somewhere else, your information is handled here, under United States law.
If the site changes in a way that changes what it collects, this page gets updated and the date at the top moves. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is how you tell.
